Just announced today, Katipunan-USA is teaming up with Books for the Barrios to create a Model of Excellence school in Tinga Itaas, Batangas City, Batangas, Philippines. How to help? Send us school and art supplies! Mail your donation!

We have two other ongoing projects:

• Please sign up to be a mentor for a college student in the Philippines. Check out our Big Brother/Big Sister project for more information. We have to acknowledge Jing Ureta for coordinating the project in the Philippines.
• Please check out our Restoring Sight International page if you would like to provide eye care to children and adults in the Philippines. Your donation can help pay for medicines, glasses, supplies, or minor and major procedures.

If you would like to get more involved, join the Progressive Times yahoo group or visit the Progress Times website. Our sister organization, Progressive Times Action Group, has been busy with humanitarian projects of their own.
