Katipunan-USA will hold a walkathon at 9 A.M. on Saturday to raise money for an ailing Filipina Teacher. Rosario "Nene" D. Lansangan teaches music to poor children in Haganoy, Bulucan, Phillipines, and is in need of heart surgery. The organization has found a doctor in California to perform the surgery at no charge and a family to care for her during recovery. The walkathon will raise the needed money to cover Lansangan's plane fare. Katipunan-USA is a Filipino-American organization vowing to build a stronger, healthier Phillipines and to create better opportunities in Filipinos. The walkathon will be held at Mile Square Park, 16801 Euclid St, Fountain Valley.
