Katipunero Denise Dador

Denise Dador is Eyewitness News Weekend Morning Anchor and Health Specialist for KABC7 in Los Angeles. She is one of the few Filipinas in mainstream media. She has received numerous awards for her reporting. In 1998, the Michigan chapter of the National Association of Broadcasters awarded Denise with the prestigious Emmy for outstanding news feature reporting. In 1997, she received the best news feature award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and that same year, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference awarded her for her commitment to outstanding health reporting. The previous year, she received the "profiles in Progress" award from the American Cancer Society for her reports on breast cancer. Last year, she was honored by March of Dimes for her contribution in health reporting.
