Katipunero DJ Icy Ice
DJ Icy Ice is known as the "Funky Filipino DJ" at the popular 100.3 The Beat, founding member of The World Famous Beat Junkies, and promoter for Legend Entertainment that has the largest '18 & over' night club events in Los Angeles since 1988 Legend Entertainment. He is one of the few Filipinos in mainstream radio. He has also made it a point to be active in his local and cultural communities, emphasizing his Philippine heritage. At the First United Methodist Church in Wilmington, CA, Icy Ice is a camp counselor during their annual Christmas Institute, a position he has maintained for eleven years to "spiritually nurture the youth". Ice has also spoken at various youth conferences at the local and national level, emphasizing the importance of hard work, perseverance and the value of cultural diversity. Most recently, he has gotten heavily involved with Katipunan-USA with their Cabanatuan City Orphanage project. He has lent his time to help organize Hip Hop Revolution. He and his company, Legend Entertainment, have been instrumental in promoting and pushing our event to young people around the South land.
