Katipunero Irene Faye Duller

Irene Faye Duller's involvement in the Filipino community is numerous and wide-spanned. Her Filipino activism career started early.

At the moment, she is Programs Associate for the Asian American Journalists Association overseeing student programs, communications, convention team planning and assisting the Executive Director.

Last year, she was one of the first graduates who majored in Asian American Studies Program at California State University, Fullerton. She was also heavily involved in Kaibigan CSUF as Kronicle Editor and Pilipino Cultural Events Coordinator. She still keeps ties with her alma mater by guest lecturing in Asian American Studies classes last Fall 2000 and Spring 2001.

She is also in the Family Development Network, SIPA (Search to Involve Pilipino Americans) in Los Angeles.

She is also part of a Pilipina/o Performance Poetry Collective based in San Francisco. 8th Wonder has been featured in Asian Week and toured Chicago, Los Angeles, and Seattle with sold out venues like Bindlestiff Studios, The Justice League, La Pena Cultural Center, and The Cell Space. Her talents also include writing for BLU magazine (magazine of youth activism, revolution, and hip hop music) on women and radical pacific issues a Contributing Columnist.

Her youth involvement includes doing a show with Feedback from New York City and I was Born with Two Tongues from Chicago, Women's Rights Day Celebration, upcoming AAJA High School Conference "Boot Camp by the Bay", and panelist at upcoming Filipina American Literarym Symposium for Aunt Lute books.

In her free time, she likes to spend time with Radical Women (Internationa/Socialist Feminist movement), Gabriela Network (against sex trafficking in the Philippines), 360 degrees Spiritualist Artist Community, Sisterz of the Underground (Hip Hop sisterhood Network), and Katipunan-USA (saving Tita Nene and hip hop revolutionizing).
