Katipunero Loreto Dimaandal
Loreto Quevedo Dimaandal was born in Caaringayan, Laoac, Pangasinan (when Laoac was still a part of Manaoag). She graduated from Holy Rosary Academy, attended Manaoag National High School and graduated from Concordia College High School Dept. She also went to college there before coming to the U.S. She has attended New York University School
of Continuing Education and Pace University in New York.
She received her A.A. in Accounting from Foothill College and my B.S. in Accounting from Golden Gate University both in Los Altos, CA. She has worked in various capacities in both private, non-profit, and government
organizations, both paid and as a volunteer since arriving in the U.S. in 1980.
Some volunteer work she has done:
- Literacy Tutor for the Santa Clara County Library "Reading Program", Special Outreach Services volunteer for the elderly patrons of the Mtn View Public Library
- Volunteer Coordinator/Recruiter and Treasurer of the Friends of the Mtn View, Public Library's Lobby Shop
- Finance Dept. Representative and Treasurer, City of Mountain View Employees Association
- Co-Coordinator of the City of Mtn View Finance Dept's participation in the Alpha Omega Homeless Feeding Program
- Bagger/Helper in the Santa Claus Christmas Program for the Poor (She brought donations and bagged them for church-referred participants)
- Gardener (with husband Rolly & daughter Rebekah) under the First Presbyterian Church in San Jose
where we have a community organic garden. The produce are for personal consumption and the rest are donated to either the Lord's Pantry in San Jose or the Milpitas Food pantry or given away to relatives or friends.
- Public Relations Officer of the Laoac Association of Northern California, Inc. Chairperson of 2001 and 2002 LANORCA Dinner Dance Affairs.
- Volunteer Coordinator/Fundraiser for Books for the Barrios and Coordinator for the Quevedo Computer Center/Library Construction/MOE project
- Cook and Vendor at the Fil-AM Chamber of Commerce-East Bay's food booth in San Ramon's Art and Wind (not wine) Festival.
