Nene arrives in LAX and is greeted by supporters and well-wishers. Nene Lansangan is being hosted by a Filipino couple in Carson. The Rotary International Cerritos Chapter in addition to our young Katipunan-USA group are the primary hosts and coordinating everything with the doctors and the hospital.

Nene says that she will never ever forget what happened to her this Christmas and that it reaffirmed her unflinching faith in God and the goodness of man towards his fellowmen. To her and her family, it was a dream come true. To quote her: "IT WAS INDEED A MIRACLE!" Ernie Delfin quotes her in his Christmas letter.

The surgery will be scheduled once the doctors have thoroughly evaluated her condition. She is admitted at the Whittier Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital. She will stay there for a couple of days for the evaluation.

Dec 29, 2000
Nene was quite nervous during her admission to the hospital. Her blood pressure read at 167/92 when first taken. Worried and anxious, she was not able to get a sleep according to her. But she said she prayed hard.

Upon her request, Paddy called her family up in the Philippines to tell them them to pray for her operation. I learned that Nene had a Bible and advent booklet in her bedside.
